Fundación Escuelas de Paz is part of the National Net of civil society organizations that work for the PEACE in Colombia. It is in permanent interaction and connection with initiatives that work in violence prevention and the construction of peace.

International Activities 2010-2011 |
“Learning to Read the World from Multiple Perspectives: Peace Education toward Diversity & Inclusion” The International Institute on Peace Education (IIPE) 2010 took place in Colombia from July 12-18, 2010. The Institute was being co-organized by the National Peace Academy (home of the IIPE secretariat) and Fundación Escuelas de Paz in partnership with the Colombian National Ministry of Education and a consortium of organizations invested in furthering peace education in Colombia.

Local Activities for 2010-2011 |
1. Project Soacha, Life and Laws: Route for Soacha’s Juvenile Development since the Juvenile Development Center (Cdj) and the Friendly Services for Adolescents and Youth People. (December 2009- December 2012) 2. LIVING TOGETHER – SCHOOL PROTECTION PROGRAM. Component “Peace conflict resolution in the Schools”. (First Step: January – September 2010). The objective of this project is to construct a network for the conviviality, human rights and participation, in 11 public schools in 3 neighbourhoods of Bogota (Ciudad Bolívar, Usaquén y Tunjuelito- both of them are considered two of the most violent neighbourhoods in the city-), 11 Schools in Bogota |
