Vision and aims of organization

To foment spaces of socialization, reflection and analysis to improve living conditions of poor communities in articulation and coordination with other actors, from a gender perspective and promoting young men and women as indispensable subjects in the transformation of the community’s reality. Themes addressed are: prevention of violence, non-violent conflict resolution, and the culture of peace. Young people’s economic and social initiatives are also fomented.

Organisation’s core areas of expertise

• Dinamismo Juvenil has developed a model of attention to children, adolescents and young adults from low-income neighborhoods and a school of formation of community promoters in the area of prevention of domestic and social violence and for a culture of peace.
• Elaboration of pedagogic materials

Activities main focus

Training: The project includes training youth instructors and promoters in Popular Education Methodology, promoting educational preparations that guarantee homogeneity of criteria and produce the necessary profile to achieve project objectives.

International Activities 2010-2011

• Popular Education Seminars in El Salvador
• How to present project in the European Union in Bolivia.
• We are part of the International council of the World Social Forum and we have in the Dakar WSF,
• We have been In Paris in the IC of the WSF
• We are leaders in the Latin American network CEAAL (network with 200 organizations from 21 countries of Latin America and the Caribean)
• We have been in the Panama meetings for the organisation of the CEAAL network
• We have been in Spain for the Alternatives Forum

Regional Activities for 2010-2011

• We have been in Michoacán, Jalisco for the Mexican Region of CEAAL.
• We have been in Puebla, Morelos and DF for a project for the training of Hatian People

Local Activities for 2010-2011

We have trained to 300 young people in the subject of Culture of Peace and Resolution of conflicts without violence in dangerous neighborhoods.
