Joining the network

Being part of the network is a great opportunity for local or regional youth organisations working on issues related to peace, advocacy or gender. Member organizations must be:

  • Active in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation;
  • Committed to work for a Culture of Peace and various forms of non-violence;
  • Inspired to take action in their own communities sharing a global spirit of solidarity;
  • Willing to learn from others and ready to contribute and share.
  • Run by young people

Why join the network of UNOY Peacebuilders?

In general, UNOY Peacebuilders aims at creating opportunities for its members. You are supported in various ways. The International Secretariat shares with the network fundraising and training opportunities. You have access to a wide range of potential partners working either in the same geographical scope or on the same issues. See here testimonies of members.

When implementing some projects (e.g. the Jobshadowing project), UNOY Peacebuilders works closely with its member organisations and aims to organise most projects in partnership.

What do you give in return?

Being part of a network also means sharing and contributing to the whole network. In that respect, we expect from member organisations good communication on their activities and campaigns. We expect contributions to UNOY’s publications being either via writing articles for the Peace It Together newsletter or working with other members on the publication of a toolkit.
