I am pleased to present you the January 2012 Peace It Together edition. The New Year arrived with new, interesting challenges, which UNOY Peacebuilders eagerly embraced.
First of all, the position of International Network and Programme Coordinator at UNOY Peacebuilders has been exchanged. UNOY Peacebuilders said goodbye to Lillian Solheim, who spent 4.5 fun and exciting years with UNOY Peacebuilders. We wish her all the best on her upcoming work-related and personal path. The fresh INPC, Imke van der Velde, began to build her peace-bricks in UNOY’s peacebuilding wall since early January.
Furthermore, UNOY Peacebuilders stays active in peacebuilding and peace education in 2012, as well. UNOY launches the year by preparing an awesome Peace Seminar on Exploring successes, challenges and opportunities in youth peace initiatives. In addition, a database of Good Practices is currently being collected to support the success of the event and any future activities in the peacebuilding field.
