Study Session: PAVE the way! Peacebuilding and Volunteering in Europe
The United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY Peacebuilders) organised a Study Session entitled “PAVE the way! Peacebuilding and Volunteering in Europe” in Budapest (Hungary) between 23-30 October at the European Youth Centre in Budapest. The study session was facilitated in cooperation with Fundació Catalunya Voluntària (FCV), Academy for Peace and Development (APD), Service Civil International (SCI), Support Initiative for Liberty and Democracy (SILBA), South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), and supported by the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Youth and Sports.
The purpose of the study session was to exchange ideas, expertise and approaches on volunteering for peace among youth peacebuilding organisations. The outcome of the study session will assist youth NGOs in UNOY Peacebuilders’ network in improving their work and ensuring that the volunteer projects and process are contributing to peace and enforcing a culture of peace. 30 participants from more than 20 countries participated in the session.
