Peace Child International's Gender Empowerment Project produced a toolkit called 'Gender Journey'. It helps you to understand what the issues are and gives suggestions for how to take practical action to tackler gender based inequality. Most importantly of all, it is a toolkit of activities tried and tested by partners from around the world that you can use to run your own gender empowerment workshops!

Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF)
The website includes a special section on Gender & Security Sector Reform (SSR) that addresses the challenge of integrating gender issues in security policies, institutions and programmes, so to create an efficient and gender-sensitive security sector able to respond to the specific needs of men, women, boys and girls.
