Kenya Youth Foundation is an indigenous youth organization founded in 1998 with the sole mandate of mainstreaming youth issues and concerns within the paradigms of policy and development at local, national and international levels.
Vision
A society where youth from all walks of life play their role in an enabling policy and development framework so as to engage in self-sustaining socio-economic activities with the focus of making the world a better place to live in.
Mission
To enhance effective participation of young people through facilitation, capacity building and role playing in social and economic development initiatives through strengthening and analysis of own- generated ideas, proposals, experiences and resources.
Objectives
- To promote Youth Self- Reliance through Entrepreunership and Skills Development;
- To empower youth to play an effective role towards the realization of Sustainable Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resource Management;
- To promote moral and basic Youth Friendly Health Care and Prevention Services;
- To promote youth participation in Governance towards effective Democratization and Peace;
- To enhance Capacity Building of KYF and partner organizations to implement programmes;
- To promote Youth Voluntary Service towards community development;
- To promote Research, Information Sharing and Networking towards youth development;
- To Mobilize resources to facilitate youth socio-economic development.
