UNOY in the Asian region

Due to the restructuring process of UNOY that has been implemented since October 2006, the Asian part of the UNOY Peacebuilders network now consists of 7 member youth peace organisations and a few affiliates. What UNOY intends by Asia includes the South Eastern part of the Asian continent, where most of the member organisations are located (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Phillipines), and also the Middle East (Palestine). Because of the huge variety of languages spoken in the Asian region, the language used for communication is English. The Asian members are mainly involved in youth work and peacebuilding but also in human rights.
