Feasability visit in Armenia, November 2008

From 22 to 25 November 2008 two representatives of UNOY Peacebuilders, Yeritac from Armenia, UMove4Peace from Belgium, YDD from Ukraine and PATRIR from Romania met in Yerevan, Armenia. During the 5-day Feasibility Visit, the planning of a European trainers exchange on peacebuilding through arts was discussed. The training is to be implemented in Romania in the fall of 2009. The Feasibility Visit was financed by the EU Youth in Action Program and was hosted by Yeritac in its office in Yerevan. During the visit, the representatives from each partner organisation looked at the needs, possibilities, challenges, risks and opportunities of organising an international trainers exchange on art methods in real partnership. After some team building exercises, the participants shared expectations and fears on the project, made a SWOT-analysis and went over the various stages of the planning of the training. The whole process was done taking into account full partnership principles. Apart from discussing and clearly elaborate a plan and a strategy for developing the training in the fall of 2009, the meeting was an amazing and productive opportunity for four European members of the network to meet with each other and with representatives from UNOY’s International Secretariat, and to discuss how to further improve the joint cooperation among members in the European region. Updates on the development of the European Training will follow in the next months on our website!
